Technology at School
At Grazebrook we are passionate about the role of technology in delivering a high-quality education.
The ability of technology to transform the daily experiences of our children allows us to guarantee 'Excellence for All.' We curate devices and applications so that, throughout their time at school, children learn the vital skills to be successful learners in the 21st Century.
Our approach to technology is encapsulated with the slogan- 'Power of Choice'. Children are taught the skills and approaches that allow them to confidently and knowledgeably choose their outcomes in learning. Children use devices like iPad for daily tasks. They also use laptop computers, programmable robots and computing kits like Crumble and micro:bit, to broaden their repertoire of skills.
We are also mindful of the risks associated with technology, so we run regular workshops and parent information sessions to support families. Our curriculum also directly teaches children how they can stay safe with technology and what to do in situations that they are uncomfortable with.
We are very proud of how our use of technology defines our approach to teaching and learning and welcome the opportunity to showcase this to families and other professionals.
