A Special Message from Ms Reid and Ms Hutchison

Government Guidance

The UK Government, including the DfE, Public Health England and Hackney Council have a number of websites and places you can access to find out information about coronavirus. Please find below a list websites offering information and support during the pandemic.

Pupils Attending School

The Department of Education has confirmed that from 1st June 2020 it has asked schools to move to the next phase of the plan to widen access to pupils. Pupils from Early Years, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 will be priority year groups for a phased return to attending school during the summer term.

Welfare

During this time it is our duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in our community. Our staff are attempting to contact all of our families, either by telephone, email or in virtual meetings. We are doing this because we want to check on the wellbeing of our pupils and their families. It is our intention to help with any issues you may be having with the online work and to offer support. Your support with this is essential in our work and I would like to thank you in advance for always talking to us and for allowing us to carry out our duty.

Contacting Teachers

We think that it is important that you can make contact with your child’s classteacher should you need their support with your child’s learning.

Parent Letters

Here you can find letters which have been sent home to our families during the coronavirus pandemic. All letters which are sent home to our families by email are also posted here.

Home Learning

Our staff will continue to upload resources and set work online for pupils in all year groups. We will not be streaming live lessons, however staff will continue to set weekly homework to ensure pupils have manageable tasks to complete daily. We do encourage parents to continue to support pupils in completing this by setting out a routine that fits in with their family at home.

Rapid School Closure

In the event of an outbreak of COVID-19 at Grazebrook Primary School, the Governing Body and school leaders would make the decision to close the school immediately.
